Oven-Fresh Spring Rolls: Crispy Delights for a Light Bite!

Exciting to share with you a recipe for rice paper Crispy Fresh Spring Rolls with meat baked in the oven:


Ingredients:


- 8-10 rice paper wrappers

- 1 lb (450g) ground meat (chicken, pork, or beef)

- 1 cup shredded cabbage

- 1 carrot, julienned

- 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced

- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 2 tablespoons soy sauce

- 1 tablespoon fish sauce

- 1 tablespoon sesame oil

- 1 teaspoon grated ginger

- Salt and pepper to taste

- Cooking spray or olive oil for brushing


Instructions:


1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.


2. In a skillet, cook the ground meat over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat.


3. Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet and cook for another minute until fragrant.


4. Stir in soy sauce, fish sauce, and sesame oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat and let it cool slightly.


5. In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, julienned carrot, and sliced bell pepper. Add the cooked meat mixture and toss until well combined.


6. Fill a shallow dish with warm water. Dip one rice paper wrapper into the water for about 10-15 seconds until it softens.


7. Place the softened rice paper wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon some of the meat and vegetable mixture onto the bottom third of the wrapper.


8. Fold the bottom of the wrapper over the filling, then fold in the sides, and roll tightly to enclose the filling completely.


9. Place the rolled spring roll onto the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.


10. Lightly brush the tops of the spring rolls with cooking spray or olive oil to help them brown in the oven.


11. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the spring rolls are crispy and golden brown.


12. Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such as sweet chili sauce or peanut sauce. Enjoy your baked rice paper spring rolls with meat!
